Terry Emm

Terry Emm is a young singer-songwriter from Bedfordshire who writes and performs his own brand of acoustic music steeped in the traditions of UK and American roots music.

Emm’s sound is that of a soothing vocal with a thoughtful poetic lyric style which is veiled in metaphors and imagery accompanied by sweet intricate acoustic guitar.

He has released two critically acclaimed albums ‘White Butterflies’ and ‘Petals Fallen Off The Sun’ which have both received airplay on BBC Radio 2 and BBC 6 Music.  On the albums, he is accompanied sometimes by lush soaring strings and delicatinstrumentation and at other times by a slow burning guitar band sound and other times we are left solely to just Terry and his guitar.

Emm’s sound has drawn comparison to the likes of Nick Drake, James Taylor, Mark Kozelek and Al Stewart. MOJO magazine perhaps describes his music best as ‘pastoral, romantic and lit musically by summer rays… no routine singer- songwriter offering but some-thing totally engaging in melody and lyric’ awarding him 4 stars.
