Save me I'm Wild

ArtForm: City Showcase Markets

This month Jane Anashka's photographic images of pressed wild flowers from around the globe are featured under 'Artist profile' in the July issue of Gardens Illustrated. "When you hold the pressed flower against the light and see the perfectly formed detail, you realise how wonderful nature is." says Jane.

In April, House and Garden wrote an Illustrated article about her concern for the loss of wild plant habitats. She sells her prints and handmade cards under the name 'Save me I'm Wild' and makes quarterly donations to the conservation charity Fauna & Flora International based in Cambridge. Jane's image of an Anemone hortensis was used for the millennium poster of the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show and in 2008 she and her partner photographer John Cowie were awarded an RHS Silvergilt medal for their exhibit 'Translucent Light'.  Her images have been used by book publishers, magazines and advertising including The FT Weekend, The National Trust and for the paperback cover of Penelope Fitzgerald's last novel 'The Blue Flower'

Jane regularly exhibits and sells her work on the 'Save me I'm Wild' stand at the Royal Horticultural Society London Shows, Horticultural Halls, Westminster
