ArtForm: City Showcase Markets
Roots Retold is a fair trade company that Debbie set up in 2013 by working in partnership with artisans, NGO's and innovative designers from India and South East Asia, specialising in exclusive handcrafted homeware, accessories and jewellery. Environmentally aware and socially conscious, Roots Retold’s selection of products and fabrics are made by skilled workers using materials that are whenever possible natural or recycled. By working with local NGOs or directly with the artisans Debbie can be sure the working practices and production methods used are sustainable and of benefit to the wider community. The brand has been developing over the years and now includes products designed in Roots Retold’s London studio made from a selection of naturally dyed hand printed fabrics Debbie has collected on her travels.
