ArtForm: Fashion, City Showcase Markets

Plane Clothing is an independent fashion and art label run from a small studio in East London by husband and wife team Gerry and Charlotta Buxton. Gerry created the brand back in 2005 when he started selling t-shirts on the markets in London.

Gerry is a photographer, illustrator and print maker, his latest prints are detailed studies of urban scenes in London and New York. The works often chart the progress of different characters through the street scenes, exploring the relationships between people and place.

The prints are all based on Gerry's original photographs, with up to 27 photographs from the same location stitched together to capture the characters and their journeys through the space before being painstakingly traced and coloured to come up with the final prints.

All Plane Clothing tees and sweats are fairly traded, made from organic cotton and hand-printed in London.
