Monthly City Showcase Sessions Launch At The Apple Store, Regent Street

City Showcase is thrilled to announce the first three of a monthly series of City Showcase Sessions to be held at the Apple Store, Regent Street to include international artist Tony Christie, iconic rock band Toploader and Patch William - the new band from renowned record producer Steve Levine (Culture Club, China Crisis, Motorhead, and Honyz).

The first of the series is set to take place on Tuesday 23 February with Steve Levine and Patch Williams.  All sessions are FREE and will start at 7pm.

Tony Christie, renowned for his songwriting and outstanding recording career, will be hosting a showcase and audience chat as part of a monthly series of City Showcase Sessions at The Apple Store, Regent Street.  On April 13th Tony will share stories of his life and career covering hits in 1971 to his new album to be released this year.  This is a fantastic opportunity to gain an insight into 30 years in the music business and enjoy songs from Tony's new album.

Meanwhile, after a sabbatical of five years, on 23 March Toploader will be giving an exclusive to City Showcase, first at the Apple Store and then at Dean Street Studios during the City Showcase May festival.  Following a Q&A Toploader will performer old favourites as well as exclusive tracks from their forthcoming release later this year.

Patch William has announced the release of their new single ‘Jealousy’ which will be recorded  by renowned producer Steve Levine live in the Apple Store on 23 February and made available for download kick starting the newly launched monthly City Showcase Sessions at the Apple Store, Regent Street

“We’re thrilled to announce these three top names to our 2010 City Showcase line up”, says City Showcase Director, Nanette Rigg.  “There’s no better way to learn more about the music industry than to hear real life experiences from these international artists”. 

The annual City Showcase festival will take place in London between 5-9 May 2010 providing a fantastic opportunity for those interested in the music business to take part in live, interactive shows.   Its 2010 calendar of events includes free workshops and showcases at The Apple Store, Regent Street as well as gigs across London and an out-door stage on 5 May in Gerrard Street. City Showcase has a great record of spotting tomorrow's emerging talent today: Keane, Razorlight, Amy Winehouse, Scouting for Girls and N-Dubz all performed at the festival before they became the household names they are today.
