- City Showcase: Soho Flea Market thanks supporters
- Article Post Date: Tuesday 21.05.2013
Putting on free events costs money and we are so grateful to our supporters.
Firstly, we really must thank the wonderful local residents and businesses in Soho and Councillor Glenys Roberts who have offered good practical advice and continue to support us. We love Soho Village and are delighted to be part of it.
Big thanks go to Fawn James and Soho Estates - her help and support has been invaluable. Fawn James, who will be opening the event, said: ‘Soho has a long creative tradition and has always flaunted its independent spirit which makes Soho Flea Market the perfect partner to showcase the wealth of creative talent in Soho, Westminster and London.’
Last year, they kindly supplied power to our stage. This year they have increased their support - thank you so much to BFK, Crossrail and Danny Sullivan Group.
"Crossrail's contractors BFK, (a BAM, Ferrovial, Kier JV) comprise three of the world’s leading civil engineering, tunnelling and construction companies. BFK JV is constructing the tunnels between Royal Oak and Farringdon as well as the new Tottenham Court Road and Bond Street ticket halls and the new Crossrail Farringdon Station.
As part of Crossrail’s Community Investment Programme, BFK is delighted to be helping to sponsor 'City Showcase' in Soho. We are committed to making a positive difference in the communities where we work and believe that contributing to the Soho Flea Market is a wonderful way to get involved with our neighbours, promoting creativity and encouraging local business in Soho. We believe that being part of Soho Flea Market is a living example of leaving a future legacy in this area. "
