Description
City Showcase presents "Roots & Flutes" is the first time that the classical traditions of London’s great cultures will be celebrated in one event and will reflect the diversity and heritage of the city and all it has absorbed over the years from traditional takes on classical music to more diverse interpretations from across the globe. This new and credible festival will introduce London's musical roots to a whole new audience and demonstrate the breadth of our culture.
The event will be held at The O2 on 9 May 2010. There will be free live music in restaurants and bars under the tent as well as wristband only evening gig in The British Music Experience.
The festival wristbands (£5 for 5-9 May 2010 inclusive) will allow access to promotions in the restaurants and bars and will allow access to the BME evening gig (on a first come first served basis). The wristband also gives access to all our festival events plus discounts at participating Carnaby and Regent Street stores during the event.
