"Multi-instrumentalist Kleet is an engaging frontman, leaping into the crowd" - BBC LONDON Von Kleet started out as a solo project, with Croydon based Kleet penning, recording and mixing demos on his tod and playing live gigs on a purely acoustic basis. His first demo, on which he played all the instruments, was well received and got airplay on XFM Unsigned with Claire Sturgess. It also saw PlayMusic Magazine vote him Best Unsigned Solo Artist of 2006. Since then Von Kleet has grown into a three-piece, with Kleet on drums & vocals and Keef on guitar and Cassandra on bass. The band's new demo has just been played on BBC Radio London's Gary Crowley show, with the station's head of music Jim Lahat tipping them as 'one to watch' in his column in Music Week. Having won an O2 Undiscovered competition, the band's next venture sees them playing at the O2 in London later this year. Things are looking good for Von Kleet as they ascend from the Costa Del Croydon to bring you sparkly indie rock with a dollop of pop! Biog as updated 2008.
