With one electricity laden song after another, The Jude have been described as having an "all round Brits go Noo Yoik cool vibe". They recently played the Red Stripe Music Awards 2010. They have been gigging in London since February '09, at venues such as Proud, the Garage, Barfly, Vyner Street Festival, Steeles Fest '09, and Oxjam@ the Fly - run by MTV and XFM folks. Their sound comprises of Gav Duffy's Kings of Leon vocal growls with a Velvets throb and a little Strokesy staccato guitar fun. According to Room Thirteen, "somewhere between those playful guitars lies the kind of talent that so many bands of today would kill for, 12/13". Described as the hottest tip of the summer '09 by YME, and with stand-out tracks like 'Listen Annie' and 'Kids at War', The Jude are surely destined for bigger things - wise to catch them now.
