Gaz Twist and Mr Twist

Gaz moved to London in 2005 and has been playing, teaching and recording in the capital but also across the pond in New York, Seattle, LA and San Diego, including the Jeff Buckley Tribute gig in Chicago in 2005.  He has also recorded for Warner Bros and is now a Yamaha endorsee, playing a UK tour with them in 2007 and being asked to demonstrate their new range of acoustic guitars in London this year.

He has developed a dynamic solo acoustic guitar style to compliment his voice - altered tunings, slap guitar, body percussion and looping - Gaz’s shows keep an audience riveted but always in an attempt to enhance the songs themselves.  Poetic, personal lyrics and uniquely dynamic voice make up the experience.

Currently playing with 5 piece band Mr Twist and writing with Spice Girls MD and Brit Award Winner Simon Ellis Gaz is chuffed to be asked to participate in this year's City Showcase.

Mr Twist - London based 5 piece, fusing the delights of influences like Deep Purple, Rage Against The Machine, Led Zep, Incubus, Biffy Clyro, Jeff Buckley and Iron Maiden!  Recently recorded with Holloways, The Twang, Scott Matthews producer Gavin Monaghan and scheming a credit crunch beating plan to not starve in the current musical climate...this may involve stealing bread, not shaving and selling songs to the higest corporate bidder - latest bid £14.10.  Playing a stripped down acoustic set, complete with 3 piece vocals, acoustic guitars and sitty hitty thing.
